Qsea provides expert testing and data validation services to the offshore grouting sector while offering specimen chain-of-custody and logistics solutions tailored to the convenience of offshore construction projects.
Formed in 2022 by experienced industry professionals, Qsea was established to address the need for an independent 3rd party testing laboratory and verification service focused on the offshore grouting industry. At Qsea, we provide our clients with a turnkey logistics, testing, and reporting solution which brings peace of mind and consistency to the quality control process.
Getting specimens from the offshore site to the testing laboratory can be a challenge, particularly when trying to reduce the amount of time specimens are out of controlled curing conditions. At Qsea, we offer a specimen collection and chain-of-custody monitoring service, designed to ensure specimens are protected and risks are managed.
On arrival at the Qsea lab, specimens are booked in and placed in temperature controlled curing tanks. Tanks are regulated at 20°C ± 2°C as per BS EN 12390-2. Other project specific curing conditions may be arranged on request.
Specimens are tested in our BS EN 12390-4 compliant compression testing machine and in accordance with BS EN 12390-3. Specimen testing is complemented by project specific reporting packages tailored to project acceptance criteria. The Qsea team is experienced in and sympathetic to the varied and precise requirements of offshore structural grouting testing and reporting regimes.
Testing a specimen produces a compressive strength result – but how does that compare to project and asset certifier acceptance criteria? At Qsea, our data analysis and validation service takes an independent view on this crucial element of asset acceptance assisting projects reach new milestones with complete confidence.
